Google Maps

Neu-Venedig (New Venice) is a residential and weekend house settlement in the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick. It lies on the Müggelspree between Dämeritzsee and Müggelsee. At this point, the river Spree forms a small delta in which five canals branch off. Most of the plots in this area are water plots, many of which have a jetty or a boathouse. In the period after the Second World War, New Venice was inhabited by bombed-out families. During the GDR period, mainly officials of the SED received a weekend property there.
